Course Description

A 2 to 3-hour asbestos awareness training course that will provide a general overview of what asbestos is; the hazards of asbestos exposure; regulations; and abatement methods.  This course is developed for workers that will be working near asbestos on a regular basis and will be conducting low risk work activities. Course participants may include maintenance personnel, electricians, staff involved in managing asbestos, other persons responsible for work tasks that may disturb asbestos and persons responsible for managing the health and safety of employees.  Keltech has provided this training to commercial and mining companies, municipal and federal government workers, supervisors and management.

Allan Robison

Allan Robison, AScT, EP is Keltech Environmental’s company founder.  Allan obtained a diploma in Civil Engineering Technology from Okanagan College in Kelowna, BC in 1991 and is a Certified Building Inspector in accordance with the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA) and Certified Lead Risk Assessor. Allan is also a certified NIOSH 582 analyst, qualified to evaluate airborne asbestos and other fibers by phase contrast microscope (PCM) during and following asbestos abatement activities. Allan was a Senior Environmental Technologist with Golder Associates Ltd. for over 25 years and has overseen countless hazardous building material assessments, abatement monitoring programs indoor air quality and occupational air sampling programs.
