Course Description

Industrial lands with access to tide water have commonly been more susceptible to groundwater contamination due to historic management practices which preceded modern environmental standards. Scientists and engineers investigating these sites must clearly determine the type of data to be collected, and which field methods are most applicable.

An iterative approach of data collection and conceptual site model refinement are essential to obtaining a better understanding of subsurface conditions.
